So last week or the week before, I received an e-mail and a postcard from UofR inviting me for my official GRADE interview! I know lots of kids applied for it, and I'm not really sure how many get interviews, but I think only 30-40 actually become part of the program. If it's anything like GEAR, then only 70 of us were invited for this interview thing. Yikes!
The day is March 4, which happens to fall perfectly with IB testing and whatnot (this week we did the crazy foreign language writing and more of it tomorrow). Funny part is I'm only going to be at school Tuesday and Wednesday next week because of GRADE and my last year of Congres competition. But who cares? I collected my work and I'm going to do it, so I shouldn't have to worry about missing over half the week.
But. To GRADE again. I leave this Sunday for Rochester early early early in the morning and come back home late late late Monday night. I stay Sunday night in one of the dorms with someone (not too sure on details) and then all-day tours and talks and stuff Monday before my 2:30 interview. I'm really nervous but also really excited to be at home again. Even though this "Rocky" storm (storm's name PLUS the name of UofR's mascot!) will be bringing in below-freezing temperatures and likely snow. Sure to be quite an adjustment for me seeing as I'll be leaving Florida with sunny skies. Better layer up thick so I don't get hives. Wouldn't be fun would it?
Hope you guys have been following my Tumblr and Twitter. Since, you know, I update those much more frequently than this. Links are at the top of the page.
Well off to do some math homework before I can sleep! Woo!
